Barker Takes 7 Wickets To Give Hampshire A Big First-Innings Lead

Keith Barker took 7 wickets for Hampshire to give them a big first-innings lead at home to Nottinghamshire in Division 1 in this week’s County Championship action.

Hampshire vs Nottinghamshire (Division 1)

Resuming on 29/1, the visitors lost Ben Duckett to the first ball of the morning, caught behind by Tom Alsop off the bowling of Keith Barker (pictured below) for 9 before Joe Clarke would be caught by Brad Wheal off the same bowler later in the over without scoring. Steven Mullaney would be LBW to Barker for 2 before Tom Moores would fall the same way to the same bowler for 4.

Ben Slater would be caught by Joe Weatherley off the bowling of Barker for 55 before Joey Evison would be caught by Alsop off the same bowler for 1 (Barker finishing with figures of 7/46). Liam Patterson-White would be bowled by Wheal for 53 before Brett Hutton would be caught by Felix Organ off the bowling of James Fuller for 16. Dane Paterson would be the final wicket to fall, caught by Nick Gubbins off the bowling of Wheal, for 6 with Luke Fletcher finishing 3 not out.
