Jake Paul takes on UFC’s Tyron Woodley in his third fight in nine months, can the YouTube star upset the bookmarkers once again?

Jake Paul will certainly being stepping up levels of opposition as he face former UFC world champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match.

Back in November, featuring on the co-main event of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr, the YouTube star once again scored a ruthless knockout when he violently knocked out NBA star Nate Robinson, but this time he is facing a former UFC champion who can bang!

UFC star will be making his professional debut in a boxing ring, but make no mistake, Woodley knows how to fight. The former UFC welterweight champion is coming off a four-fight losing streak in the UFC after receiving losses from the likes of 170-pound titlist Kamaru Usman, former title challengers Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington, and rising contender Vicente Luque. 

Tyron Woodley is close friends with Ben Askren who Jack Paul KO’d in his most recent fight, Woodley will be looking to gain revenge for his friend.

Both Paul and Woodley started to clash with each other when the former stepped into the ring with Askren. Since then, they have been at each others throats and then the fight was announced.

Paul vs Woodley takes place tonight – Sunday, August 29, 2021 – at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio – home of the NBA’s Cavaliers.

Cleveland is Paul’s hometown and there could be up to 20,000 fans in attendance.

It will be another late-night affair for British fight fans, with the main card not due to begin until around 1am BST on Monday morning.

The main event itself is not expected to start any earlier than 3:30/4am.

The card also includes the US debuts of Paul rival Fury – WBC heavyweight champion Tyson’s younger half-brother – and British heavweight Daniel Dubois, who continues on the comeback trail following his upset by domestic rival Joe Joyce in London last year.
