YOUNGSTOWN — Comedian Katt Williams brings his World War III tour to the Covelli Centre on May 7.
Williams started doing standup as a teenager more than 30 years ago and now regularly performs in arenas. His standup specials include “The Pimp Chronicles,” “It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’,” “Pimpadelic,” “American Hustle” and “Priceless: Afterlife” and “Kattpacalypse.” His most recent special is “Katt Williams: Great America” on Netflix.
He’s parlayed his standup career into acting roles in such films as “Friday After Next,” “Norbit,” “Scary Movie V,” “Epic Movie” and an appearance on the television series “Atlanta,” which earned him an Emmy Award for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series. He had a starring role in the 2021 release “The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2.”
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show range from $59 to $125 and go on sale at 10 a.m. at the Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: FRIDAY.
