Beyonce Renaissance World Tour Announced
Music superstar Beyonce announced a new clothing collection in partnership with Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing on Friday.
According to Vogue, the collection called “Renaissance Couture” features 16 dresses inspired by her album “Renaissance” and is being dubbed, “The First Wearable Album!”
Beyoncé took to Instagram on Friday to thank the designer and French fashion house for “bringing the Renaissance to life in clothing.”
“Designing with you was freeing – thank you for allowing me to celebrate the human form, take artistic risks, push boundaries and express myself freely,” she wrote.
Vogue France, which described Beyoncé as its “superstar” in its April edition, detailed how the collaboration came about. Rusting approached Beyoncé’s team in hopes of co-creating the collection after hearing the album last year, Vogue said.
“Dear @beyonce creating this clothing collection with you was more than a dream,” Rusting wrote on Instagram. “You’ve inspired me every day since the beginning of my career. Renaissance is more than an album it’s about freedom, it’s about strength, love and fighting for a better future.”
