You’d be forgiven if you didn’t realize Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) was in “Hawkeye.” Most people probably glanced over his small cameo due to how small it is … like, literally how small it is.
At the beginning of Episode 1, a young Kate Bishop (Clara Stack) witnesses the carnage that took place during the Battle of New York in the first “Avengers” movie. As she stares at Avengers Tower, she sees the Chitauri invade the city. Then there comes the moment at around the 4:54-mark. There’s a lot going on in the scene, but if you keep an eye peeled toward the left side of young Kate Bishop, you’ll see a tiny dot hopping from one building to the next.
As it turns out, that tiny dot is Hulk, and the cameo’s even been confirmed by ILM visual effects supervisor Vincent Papaix, “It is indeed Hulk jumping from building to building and getting a blast from a Chitauri weapon” (via ComicBook.com). It may not be much, but it’s a fun little addition to a show that’s filled with Avengers references. It’s just a good thing Hulk wasn’t any closer, or else Kate might’ve taken up studying gamma radiation rather than archery.
