The Maggie Scene In The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 9 That Means More Than You Think

Although Leah Shaw (Lynn Collins) and the remaining Reapers agree to drop their weapons and walk away, Maggie stuns Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) by suddenly going after them as soon as they have their backs turned. The scene could be interpreted as Maggie getting revenge for what they had done to her community, but it’s also calling back to a past conversation she had with Negan Smith (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

In Season 11 Episode 7, Negan admits to Maggie that if he could go back in time, he would’ve killed her entire group the night that he killed Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun). Maggie takes this information in and keeps it in mind as she watches Daryl try to make peace with the Reapers. When she asks Negan for his thoughts on letting them walk away, he cooly replies that she knows what he thinks about it, and this seems to factor into her decision to hunt them down.

And so, the tables have turned, and Maggie channels her inner Negan to eliminate potential threats from them in the future. It’s a surprising move, but if Season 11 has made anything clear, it’s that Maggie Rhee is on a destructive path.
