Paul Sinha has blasted India over its reaction to the Russian invasion on Ukraine.
The Chase star and stand up comedian took to Twitter to speak out following news that India had chosen to abstain from voting on a UN Security Council resolution demanding that Russia ceases its actions.
Experts say the decision stemmed from New Delhi’s reliance on its ally for energy, weapons and support in conflicts with neighbours.
But the decision was slammed by quizzer Paul, who is of Indian descent.
Taking to social media, he fumed: “Shame on you, India. Your boast about being the world’s largest democracy means very little now.
“And the UAE can f**k right off as well.”
He added: “The height of nuanced political satire, that tweet.”
His comments left fans divided.
One replied: “It’s easy to jump on the bandwagon and shame a country or a person. Where are the NATO and the US forces? Ukraine is now left alone to defend themselves! Just as the European countries are looking out for their interests first, India has the right to do the same!!!”
While one sided with Paul, pointing out: “US and NATO denounced Russian invasion, India didn’t.”

When one asked Paul: “Do you take china abstaining as a positive though? Suprised they didn’t vote No?”
He responded: “China’s no was a given. Theyre chance to be grown ups has long disappeared. India and UAE wallow in an image of being vibrant modern nations when the ruling powers in each are rancid beyond comprehension.”
Another told the star: “Paul, please read on India’s non-aligned policy. You might get your answer why India does not get involved in world issues like this.”

Paul also spoke out against the people blaming transgender rights of being the force behind the war.
He penned: “If you’re one of the many rightwing grifters who have somehow blamed the current human tragedy in Ukraine on transgender rights, all you have proved is that your lack of dignity and class knows no limits.”
More than 200 civilians have been killed in the attacks so far after Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the orders.
