Afghan cricketers are coming to Dhaka in the afternoon to play the series

The 22-member Afghanistan cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on Saturday (February 12) to play a series of ODI and T20 formats. The visitors will play a series of three ODIs and two T20I matches this year.

The ODI series, which is part of the ICC World Cup Super League, will be held on February 23, 25 and 26 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The two-match T20 series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on March 3 and 5, respectively.

It is learned that the plane carrying Afghan cricketers will land at Dhaka Airport at 5.20 pm today. After that the guests will leave for Sylhet on 6 pm flight. There they will have a week-long practice camp.

On this day, the Afghans will go directly to Sylhet without setting foot in Dhaka. They will hold a week-long training camp in Sylhet before heading to Chittagong for the ODI series.

At the moment, a number of Afghan players including Mujib Ur Rahman, Mohammad Shahzad, Kayes Ahmed, Azmatullah Omarzai are playing for different teams in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). So they will join the team at the end of BPL.
