GIRARD — Dorothy M. Shearer, 72, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 20, 1949, in Cambridge, Pa., a daughter of David and Thelma Patterson Long.
She retired from quality control at Barry Plastics.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald Shearer of Niles, Robert Shearer of Newton Falls and Gary Shearer of Girard; daughter, Renee Thompson of Garrettsville; four brothers, Alfred Long of Warren, Larry Long of Howland, Ernie Long of Champion and Tommy Long of Strafford, Pa.; sisters, Helen Malone of Champion, Elsie Flanigan of Niles and Betty Groves, Carol Pawcio, Ethel Williams and Diane Long, all of Warren; 21 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Shearer; son, Anthony; a grandson; and two brothers.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bernard P. Borowski Memorial Home, with services following 7 p.m.
