WARREN — A man was found covered in blood standing in North Street NW on Sunday when Warren fire and police departments responded to a nearby structure fire.
A 911 report indicates crews were called at 2 p.m. to a two-story apartment at 377 North, near the intersection of Vernon Avenue NW.
When crews arrived a man was standing in the street covered in blood, telling safety crews “that he had committed a sin” and that “he is Jesus,” reports state.
Reports indicate the man’s arm was cut to the bone and there was some kind of wound to the chest. Reports indicate he was pouring blood onto himself from his arm and under his arm near his chest.
The man had no shirt and no shoes. He had a tattoo and some kind of sign on his neck.
Medstar Ambulance took him to Trumbull Regional Medical Center.
Fire crews battled a fire coming from the structure as smoke was seen coming from windows on the first and second floors.
