Robson And Stoneman Break Middlesex Record

Sam Robson and Mark Stoneman have broken the Middlesex opening partnership in their first day at Sussex in the County Championship.

Nottinghamshire vs Lancashire (Division 1)

Resuming on 27/2, the visitors would add 5 to the overnight score before George Balderson would be caught by Liam Patterson-White off the bowling of Luke Fletcher for 19 with Josh Bohannon caught by Ben Duckett off the bowling of Brett Hutton for 35. Danny Lamb would be caught behind by Tom Moores off the bowling of Dane Paterson for 15 before Rob Jones would be caught by Sam Northeast off the bowling of Hutton for 14.

In the game that started on Monday, Middlesex won the toss and elected to bat first.

Sam Robson (pictured below) and Mark Stoneman would put on 376 off 85.3 overs for the opening Middlesex partnership, breaking their county record (the previous one was set in 1998 by Mike Gatting and Justin Langer) before the latter would be caught behind by Oliver Carter off the bowling of Henry Crocombe with Stephen Eskinazi the other batsman out, caught by the same fielder off the bowling of Sean Hunt for 4 with Robson (192 off 285 balls) and Robbie White (2) resuming in a few hours.
