The research reveals London is the number one place for a staycation in the UK. According to the National Office for Statistics, London attracts around 30 million visitors from around the world every year, which is no surprise considering the capital city boasts some of the UK’s best attractions, ranging from the British Museum to Covent Garden.
Following in an extremely close second place, offering centuries-old heritage and world-class street art, comes the music-loving city of Bristol. The city offers 100s of family-friendly, free entry, and cheap eat destinations.
One of the only Countryside destinations to reach the top 10 staycations in the UK, was the Peak District, which offers a much different experience to London and Bristol. Mam Tor and The Great Ridge are essential sites for visitors of the Peak District.
