Another Eskinazi Century Sees Middlesex To Win

Steve Eskinazi would score another century for Middlesex in Sunday’s Royal London Cup action. There were also 7 wickets for Luke Fletcher and Dane Paterson between them for Nottinghamshire and Emilio Gay scoring an unbeaten 84 to see Northamptonshire home in the final over.

Sunday’s Hundred games between Birmingham Phoenix vs Trent Rockets and London Spirit vs Southern Brave will be reviewed in tomorrow morning’s column as well as the Oval Invincibles vs Welsh Fire games from today.

Hampshire vs Lancashire (Group A)

Lancashire won the toss and elected to field first.

Tom Alsop would be caught by Steven Croft off the bowling of Tom Bailey for 7 before Tom Prest would be caught by Rob Jones off the same bowler for 9. Nick Gubbins would be caught by Croft off the bowling of George Balderson for 31 before Ian Holland would be LBW to the same bowler for 1.

Joe Weatherley would also be dismissed the same way by the same bowler for 17 before James Fuller would be caught & bowled by Liam Hurt for 17. Felix Organ would be LBW to Danny Lamb for 7 before Scott Currie would be stumped by George Lavelle off the bowling of Jack Morley for 2. Lewis McManus would be caught by Josh Bohannon off the bowling of Bailey for 45 before Kyle Abbott would be the final wicket to fall, caught by Lavelle off the bowling of Lamb, for 9 – John Turner was 5 not out.
