Kapp Takes 4 Wickets As First Hundred Winners Are Crowned

Marizanne Kapp took 4 wickets as the Oval Invincibles became the first-ever Hundred winners as the winners of this year’s competition were crowned at Lord’s yesterday.

Oval Invincibles vs Southern Brave (Women)

Southern Brave would win the toss and elected to field first.

Georgia Adams would be caught by Danni Wyatt off the bowling of Anya Shrubsole for 4 before Fran Wilson would be caught by the same fielder off the bowling of Amanda-Jade Wellington for 25. Dane van Niekerk would be caught by Lewis off the bowling of Lauren Bell for 26 before Alice Capsey would be bowled by the same bowler for 18.

Gaby Lewis would be the third batter to be dismissed for a duck, caught by Capsey off Kapp’s bowling, before Bouchier would be run out by Wilson for 7.

Wellington would be caught by the same fielder off the bowling of S Ismail for another duck before Shrubsole would be caught by Kapp off the bowling of Capsey for 1 – the Brave sitting at 14/6 off 36 balls at this point. Stafanie Taylor would be stumped by Bryce off the bowling of van Niekerk for 18 before Tara Norris would be bowled by Capsey for 11. Morris would be run out by Grace Gibbs for 23 before Bell would be the final wicket to fall, bowled by Kapp, for 4 – Carla Rudd finishing 7 not out.
